Don Bosco VTC Juba
“If one is to do good, he must have a little courage, be ready for sacrifice, deal affably with all and never slight anybody. By following this method I have always had significant success, in fact, marvelous success.“
— St. John Bosco
Our Vision
Taking inspiration from Don Bosco’s charism, our vision for South Sudan’s young people is to empower them to become:
– Confident and skilled individuals: Equipped with practical skills and knowledge to secure employment or start their own businesses.
– Compassionate and socially responsible citizens: Inspired by Don Bosco’s values of kindness, empathy, and service to others.
– Holistic development: Fostering spiritual, emotional, and social growth, in addition to technical skills.
– Agents of positive change: Empowered to contribute positively to their communities and society at large.
By living out Don Bosco’s charism, we aim to make a lasting impact on the lives of young people in South Sudan, helping them build a brighter future for themselves and their nation.
Our Mission
Inspired by Don Bosco’s charism of loving and serving young people, especially the disadvantaged, our mission is to provide Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) that equips them with skills for employment and entrepreneurship.
We focus on practical training, ensuring our graduates are job-ready and confident in their abilities. Through this approach, we aim to empower youth to break the cycle of poverty, achieve self-sufficiency, and contribute positively to their communities.
By doing so, we strive to be a source of hope and opportunity for the youth of South Sudan, helping them build a brighter future for themselves and their nation.
Our History
Don Bosco Vocational Training Centre (DBVTC) was established in 2013 to provide quality education and skills training to South Sudan’s youth. We’re registered under the Ministry of Labour and committed to empowering individuals through TVET.
We’ve served numerous young people, equipping them with practical skills for employment and entrepreneurship. Our work is guided by the Salesian charism of loving and serving young people, especially the disadvantaged.
As part of the Salesians of Don Bosco, we’ve drawn on their wealth of experience and expertise in education and youth development. Our history showcases the impact of collaboration and community engagement in shaping young lives.

We Believe That Education Is An Important Aspect In Every Person’s Life
“Youth is for taking risks, good risks, risks full of hope. It is meant to be staked on great things. Youth is meant to be given away, to help others to know the Lord. Don’t keep your youth to yourselves: get out there!” —- Pope Francis
